Apostle Rachelle Jones

Apostle Rachelle Jones, with a dynamic and comedic approach, embodies a life dedicated to ministry, drawing from her rich heritage as the fourth child of Apostle Bill McKinney and Bishop Shirley McKinney of Christian Fellowship Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Embracing servitude above all, her roles have spanned from choir member to youth pastor and elder, underpinning her profound commitment as a servant first. Recognized for her anointed preaching and teaching, and notable prophetic gifts, Jones places high value on her role as servant and adjutant, especially to her mother. A Rhema Bible Training Center alum, her spiritual journey is marked by resilience and a deep pursuit of God's will. Now serving as the senior pastor of Christian Fellowship Center, she honors her parents' legacy while contributing as a psalmist, songwriter, playwright, and author of the memoir “Who’s Going to Protect Me?...The Preacher’s Kid. ” Above her professional achievements, her role as a mother to Tyler stands paramount.         Statement of Belief

        Our core belief is anchored in the understanding that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God,
        a timeless testament relevant not only to past generations but equally to us today, as highlighted 
        in II Timothy 3:16. We hold firmly to the transformative "born-again" experience of salvation, 
        illuminated in John 3:1-7, recognizing it as the foundation of our faith.
        
        As followers of Christ, we strive to embody the teachings of the Bible in our daily lives, 
        aspiring to live in holiness as instructed in II Corinthians 7:1. Our faith further embraces 
        the infilling of the Holy Spirit, evidenced through the gift of speaking in tongues, a truth
        vividly demonstrated in Acts 2:1-4. We believe in the comprehensive redemption provided by Jesus Christ, 
        affirming that He has secured not only our salvation but also our physical healing, making it accessible
        to all in the present, as per I Peter 2:24.
        
        Our commitment extends to sharing the love and teachings of Christ with others, adhering to the directive 
        found in Matthew 28:19,20, and supporting the local church through the act of tithing, as encouraged in Malachi 3:10 
        and Proverbs 3:9. We observe and uphold the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord's Supper, acknowledging their 
        significance as outlined in Matthew 28:19,20 and I Corinthians 12:4-10.
        
        The operation of the gifts of the Spirit, as described in I Corinthians 12:4-10, Romans 12:5-8, and Ephesians 4:11,
        plays a pivotal role in our spiritual journey, as does the manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in every believer's life,
        a principle beautifully encapsulated in Galatians 5:22,23. Our faith is rooted in the belief in a triune God—The Father, 
        The Son, and The Holy Spirit—underscored by scriptures such as Matthew 28:20, I John 2:22-24, and John 14:16,17,26.
        
        We live in the blessed hope of Jesus Christ's glorious return to judge both the living and the dead, 
        a future event foretold in John 5:26-29. This statement of belief encapsulates our faith, our practices, 
        and our anticipation of the kingdom to come.

        Founders History
        The late Apostle Bill McKinney and his wife, the late Bishop Shirley McKinney, are the founders of Christian Fellowship Center church located in Cleveland, OH.
        In 1962, Bill McKinney, a Cleveland native, married Shirley Ann Brown of Talladega, Alabama. Giving their lives to God they, each, began to submit their wills to the teachings of Christ; and, began to mature in their faith and spiritual understandings based on Biblical principals taught them through the leadership of their late Pastors - James and Rachelle Beatty - servant leaders who had a heart for missions ministry.
        By 1972 this couple acknowledged and accepted their own call to ministry, stepped out in faith and voyaged, as missionaries to Haiti, daring to believe God to supply every need for them and their six children. Little did they know, to this point, that this and many other experiences were designed to position them for something even greater - their call to the pastorate.
        Yielding their wills, in obedience to the voice of the Lord, they started a ministry in their home. Established in June 1979, the McKinneys, shortly thereafter, moved the ministry to its first building located on E. 118th St. in Cleveland, OH; and, this ministry came to be called Christian Fellowship Center or CFC.
        Just four years later, in the year 1983, Christian Fellowship Center moved to its second location at E. 158th and Euclid Ave., sharing a building with an Episcopal Church. Not long after, this prophetic Word from the Lord was proclaimed over these leaders: “Every place where upon the soles of your feet shall tread, shall be yours...” In essence, it declared a day would come when the founders and members of CFC would move no more. In January 1987, this promise came to pass. Apostle Bill and Pastor Shirley McKinney, along with members of the Christian Fellowship Center church family, were blessed to purchase Christian Fellowship Center’s third and current location at 14713 Lakeshore Blvd. in Cleveland.
        With Lake Erie as its backdrop CFC had come to be, affectionately, called “The Church or The Quake on the Lake” as evidenced by how the blessings of the Lord were being seen in the ministry, community, and the lives of many believers through the tremendous teachings by Apostle Bill McKinney on the importance of the principle of living by faith. Though he operated in spiritual gifts, like the prophetic, this prolific man of God, revered for his kind and gentle nature carrying about him the true spirit of a father, came to be known for this distinct declaration: “Faith is seeing the invisible, touching the intangible, hearing the inaudible, believing the impossible, and getting up and acting like it’s possible.” This, among many sermons, still resonates with hundreds of people across the country.
        After the unfortunate passing of Apostle Bill McKinney in November 2007, the ministry was succeeded by, his faithful wife of 45 years, Pastor Shirley McKinney. Continuing upon the well laid foundation and legacy of faith teachings started with her husband, Pastor Shirley accepted her call to the bishopric in March of 2008. The highly equipped Bishop Shirley McKinney was instrumental in walking, not only herself, but the entire membership through this tremendous transition in leadership into the next phase to which the Lord was calling the house of CFC.
        Having served over 35 years in ministry, establishing a people sound in the Word of God and intercessory prayer, with a strong core of parishioners – many committed members of more than 20 years - Bishop Shirley McKinney, following the leading of the Holy Spirit, set in place her successor in ministry.
        In December of 2013, Pastor Rachelle Jones, the fourth child of Apostle Bill and Bishop Shirley’s seven biological children; and a Rhema Bible Training Center graduate, was instituted as the current Senior Pastor of Christian Fellowship Center with Bishop Shirley serving as overseer of the ministry until her passing in January 2019.
        Hailing, undoubtedly, from a rich spiritual inheritance, Pastor Jones, who possesses a genuine heart for the people of God, works diligently to preserve the honorable legacy established by her parents and founders of Christian Fellowship Center to represent God and lead His people with purpose and integrity.
